Fans
of singer, Rihanna, are in great anticipation for her upcoming album.
While no official details have been released regarding the new record,
rumors of what to expect from the artist's eighth album have been doing
the rounds and firing up her fans more.
Last December 19, the "Diamonds" star was spotted in Paris, which
sparked rumors that she was filming a music video for one of her
upcoming songs. Rihanna was seen filming at the Trocadero Carousel while
surrounded by fans, reported Kpopstarz. The shoot was captured by a fan "venusdxpe" who posted it on Instagram. The fan wrote, "Shooting her new video for #R8 in Paris."
According to The Indian Express,
the girl from Barbados was sporting a long black wig and white jumpsuit
and was seen running towards her fans. Later that day, she uploaded a photo of
her encircled by fans on her Instagram feed. The caption on the photo
went, "Ran off an editorial shoot, straight into the arms of my fans...
thank you French navy #r8"
Word is that #R8 is the title of her upcoming album. Fans deemed the
rumored title as fitting since the new record would be the singer's
eight album.
Sparking another rumor is a photo the
singer uploaded on the same day, which showed her sporting dreadlocks
and was captioned simply as "#r8." Kpopstarz reported that fans
acknowledged the photo as a direct channeling of Lauryn Hill, which
could mean the new album's tracks might have a vintage ring to it.
A week before she was seen in Paris, Rihanna posted a short video of
her in a studio captioned with "phuck wit nuno." The clip showed
Portuguese-American guitarist Nuno Bettencourt with Rihanna as she was
singing, noted Latin Post.
Producer Glass John reposted the video.
John wrote the song's title as "Kiss It Better" and described it as one
of his creations, produced by both him and Jeff Bhasker. Bhasker is
known to have collaborated with Kanye West in the past.
Aside from this track, Kpopstarz noted the singer has registered 11
new songs, which were never heard before, making fans believe they could
be the upcoming album's songs. Latin Post noted the songs listed were
"Kiss It Better," "All Night," Ignite Me," "I Saw A Girl," "Overload,"
"Ehh," "Intoxicated," "Drive Alone," "Transducer," "Where I Belong," and
finally, "Burritos."
Rihanna, who had taken a break from recording for two years, was
reported to be very excited for her new record. While the singer
promised fans that any official announcements regarding the album will
come from her, no actual date has been stated on when it come out.
However, while at a meet and greet in Fort Belvoir, Yahoo
reported the singer to promis fans that "It's going to be great, that's
all I'm going to tell you and I'm excited about it." She added," I try
to battle myself and outdo everything I've done and that's been the
hardest thing to do. You start overthinking things at times."
